Indian plus-size brands, ranked by where they actually stop

Three of the six Indian stores we track list live stock above 6XL. Big Banana and PlusS both reach 10XL, Amydus reaches 9XL. Snitch stops at 6XL. Bunaai and Tistabene stop at 5XL.

That is the whole ranking, and it is the only one that matters if you wear above a 6XL, because every other consideration is a preference and this one is a wall.

The table#

Counted from each store's own public product feed on 15 August 2026. "Deepest size in stock" means a size with stock genuinely available, not merely listed — a 9XL that is sold out in every colour is not a 9XL you can buy.

Total: 4,258 items at 4XL and above, across six stores.

What the table is actually telling you#

Depth and breadth are not the same thing. Big Banana has both — 1,556 items and a 10XL ceiling. PlusS reaches just as deep with half the range. Amydus has almost as many items as Big Banana but stops a size earlier.

Price does not track size ceiling. The two deepest ranges include the cheapest store in the set (Big Banana, ₹899 median) and one of the mid-priced ones. Going further up the size run is not, on this evidence, something you pay a premium for. We looked at that question directly in what happens to price as size goes up, and the answer is more encouraging than the category's reputation suggests.

Almost nobody publishes a chart. One store of six publishes measurements covering the sizes they sell. This is the single biggest unforced error in the category: brands are asking people to buy a garment above 4XL — the sizes where scaling errors are worst and returns hurt most — while withholding the only information that would make the decision safe.

A ceiling is not a fit. A 10XL existing tells you a pattern was graded that far. It does not tell you the grade was drafted rather than scaled. Depth through the body, front rise and armhole are what go wrong when a medium is multiplied, and no ceiling number will warn you about that.

How to use this#

If you wear up to 5XL, all six are open to you and you can choose on price, style and fabric like anyone else.

If you wear 6XL, you have four stores.

If you wear above 7XL, you have two — Big Banana and PlusS — and that is your realistic market in this set. Worth knowing before you spend an evening browsing somewhere that was never going to have your size.

Methodology#

Read from each storefront's public product feed on 15 August 2026. For every product we recorded the size options, whether each was in stock, the price per size, and the store's published size chart if one exists at a findable URL.

Sizes were normalised across notations — 4XL, XXXXL, 4X and numeric chest sizes all resolve to the same rung — so stores that label differently are compared like for like.

Two caveats worth stating. This is six stores, not the whole Indian market; it is the set we currently list, and it will grow. And a feed is a snapshot: stock moves, and a ceiling recorded today can drop tomorrow. The date on this page is the date the count was taken, and we recount when we re-ingest.

If you run one of these stores and think a number here is wrong, we would rather fix it than defend it — the underlying data is a public feed, so it is easy to check.
